Limited Companies & Corporation Tax.
You didn't start a limited company to become an expert in Companies House filings. Between corporation tax, your accounts and the confirmation statement, it's a lot to keep on top of on your own, and getting it wrong costs more than getting it done. At Newton & Co, we look after the whole picture for you, so nothing gets missed and nothing lands as a surprise.
What it is, and who it's for.
Running a limited company means two separate sets of obligations: your accounts and corporation tax return to HMRC, and a stack of filings to Companies House, including the confirmation statement and keeping your registered details up to date. We handle both sides, so you're never trying to work out which deadline belongs to which body.
This is for you if you're a director who wants the compliance side done properly and explained in plain English, without having to learn company law to understand your own paperwork.
What we handle for you.
Everything below is included, and we'll flag anything extra before it happens.
Clear, accurate accounts, done properly and on time.
We work out what you owe and file the return with HMRC.
Confirmation statements and any changes to directors or shareholders, sorted.
We'll flag legitimate ways to keep your bill down before it's due, not after.
Salary and dividends structured so you're not paying more tax than you need to.
Real answers, not a queue.
Limited companies are Paul and Matthew's specialism. At Newton & Co, you'll deal with one of them.
Limited companies are what Paul Martin and Matthew Batey do day in, day out, so you're getting specialists rather than a generalist working it out as they go. You'll always have a director on the case, and we explain what your numbers mean rather than just handing them over.

We catch the deadlines
Companies House and HMRC run on different clocks. Your corporation tax bill is due 9 months and 1 day after your company's year end, well before your tax return has to be filed, and we track both so you're never caught out.
Simple to hand over, simple to keep running.
Tell us about your company and where you're at with it.
We'll pull together what we need from your current accountant or your own records.
Accounts, corporation tax and Companies House filings, all tracked and filed on time.
You'll hear from us before anything's due, not after it's missed.
Things people ask.
Can't see yours? and we'll happily talk it through.
What's the difference between this and your Annual Accounts service?
This page covers everything to do with running a limited company: your accounts, corporation tax and Companies House. Annual Accounts is the year-end accounts themselves, and applies to any business, including sole traders and partnerships. If you run a limited company, you'll need both, and we'll look after them together.
Can you take over from my current accountant?
Yes. We'll handle the handover and make sure nothing falls between the two of you.
What if I've missed a Companies House deadline?
Tell us as soon as you can. We'll help you get it filed and explain what happens next.
Do you help with paying myself through the company?
We do. We'll look at salary and dividends together and set it up in a way that makes sense for you.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your company's size and how much filing and advice you need. We'll be straight with you about what's involved, and what it'll cost, before anything starts.
We work with limited companies based in Jarrow, South Shields, Hebburn, Newcastle and the wider North East, remotely across the UK, and for directors living and working overseas.
