Annual Accounts.
Year end has a way of arriving faster than you'd like, and a shoebox of receipts doesn't turn itself into a set of accounts. At Newton & Co, we prepare clear, accurate annual accounts for your business, whatever it is, filed on time and explained in words that actually make sense.
What it is, and who it's for.
Annual accounts are the yearly summary of what your business earned, spent and made, and they're the foundation everything else is built on: your tax bill, any borrowing you apply for, and whether Companies House is happy with you. We put yours together properly, once a year, so you're never scrambling in the run-up to a deadline.
This is for any business: sole traders, partnerships and limited companies alike. If you're a limited company, this sits alongside our Limited Companies & Corporation Tax service, which covers corporation tax and everything else Companies House asks of a company.
What we handle for you.
Everything below is included, whatever shape your business takes.
Whatever you've got, tidy or not, we'll turn it into proper accounts.
You'll understand what your numbers actually mean, not just receive them.
With Companies House and HMRC, whichever applies to you.
No double handling and nothing missed between the two.
We check for anything that looks off before it goes anywhere.
Accounts from Newton & Co. Checked before they're filed.
Accounts done in a rush are where mistakes creep in, so we build in the time to check the detail that catches people out. You'll deal with a director throughout, and we'll walk you through what the numbers mean for your business, not just file them and move on.

Nothing left until the last minute
We start early enough to do it properly.
Simple to get going, simple to keep running.
Tell us about your business and when your year end falls.
However you keep them, we'll work with what you've got.
Checked, queried where needed, and explained back to you.
With HMRC and, if you're a company, Companies House too.
Things people ask.
Can't see yours? and we'll happily talk it through.
What's the difference between this and your Limited Companies service?
Annual Accounts is the year-end accounts themselves, and it applies to any business, sole trader, partnership or limited company. Limited Companies & Corporation Tax covers the wider picture for a company: corporation tax and everything Companies House asks for. If you run a limited company, the two work together.
When is my accounts deadline?
A private limited company's accounts are due 9 months after its financial year ends, or 21 months after incorporation for your very first set. If you're a sole trader or partnership, it's tied to your Self Assessment deadline instead. We'll tell you exactly where you stand.
My records are a mess. Is that a problem?
Not for us. Send us what you've got and we'll sort it into proper accounts, sensible piles included.
Can you take over partway through the year?
Yes. We'll pick up from your current accountant and handle the handover.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the size and shape of your business and the state your records are in. We'll be straight with you about what's involved, and what it'll cost, before anything starts.
